Morgan Rogers – the English midfielder has been involved in four goals in five FA Cup starts for Aston Villa (3 goals, 1 assist).

Scoring in their Third Round win over Spurs last month, he also scored and assisted against Spurs in last season’s fourth round.

Rogers has eight goals and five assists in his 26 appearances for Villa this season in the Premier League alone.

He’s also added three goal contributions to his tally of the season in the Europa League from eight appearances and is always a threat against any team.

He bagged an assists away from home in Villa’s 2-0 win at St James’ Park in December and has a pretty solid record against the Magpies, with two assists in just four appearances, including two wins and a draw.

Aston Villa have knocked Newcastle out four times from the FA Cup (1894-95, 1896-97, 1904-05, 2000-01), losing the other two ties in the 1923-24 final and third round in 1951-52.

Guimaraes carded – Bruno has a huge tally of goals this season but he’s always also accumulated plenty of cards each campaign for Newcastle.

Given the way he plays it’s no surprise as he’s always there to try and break attacking plays from the opposition down, even if it means a cheeky foul or two throughout the game.

But he’s also amongst the players that can press high and charge down players which can always come with a risk of a foul too.

The Brazilian has already got five bookings in the league and amassed nine in the 2023/24 season.

Anthony Gordon – the English winger has made 20 appearances in the league this season.

From those 20 games he’s made 17 shots on target with ten of those coming from inside the box according to the Premier League.

Averaging nearly one per game it’s safe to say that in the FA Cup against a potentially changed Villa starting XI he could find the chance to get a couple of chances playing up top for the Magpies.

Aston Villa knocked out Spurs in the FA Cup fourth round last season but haven’t gone beyond this stage in consecutive seasons since doing so between 2008-09 and 2010-11.

Newcastle United have won six of their last 11 away games in the FA Cup (D2 L3), having gone 15 without a win on the road beforehand. The Magpies have lost 10 of their last 13 away from home at Premier League opponents, however (W2 D1), failing to score in eight of their last nine.
