New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone gave Cam Schlittler high praise after the right-hander dominated the Boston Red Sox in a 9-0 Game 1 victory in the American League Wild Card Series on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.

Schlittler delivered 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out 10 on a career-high 117 pitches. The second-year starter entered October as a leading American League Cy Young candidate after going 14-6 with a league-best 1.95 ERA.
