New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells reflected on the experience of guiding Cam Schlittler through a dominant Game 1 start against the Boston Red Sox in Tuesday’s 9-0 victory at Yankee Stadium.

Wells caught all 117 pitches as Schlittler worked 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out 10. The outing helped New York take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three American League Wild Card Series.
