Last week on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, Penta defeated five other competitors to win his first-ever WWE Money in the Bank briefcase at the namesake PLE. In the final moments of the match, Penta executed a Mexican destroyer on Bron Breakker from the top of the ladder before climbing and winning the briefcase.
After winning the briefcase, Penta joined Tiffany Stratton, who had earlier won the women's Money in the Bank briefcase. Later, while speaking at the WWE Money in the Bank recap show, Penta opened up about his win as well as his iconic, DC's Joker-inspired ring gear.
“Actually, it was an accident because, you know, so I tried to use this gear before. For some reason, I can’t. So they say, okay, maybe I save for Money In The Bank. Maybe. I don’t know when, but maybe I save this gear, and, bro, this is the result,” Penta shared.
At WWE Money in the Bank PLE during the men's ladder match, Penta faced off against Kevin Owens, CM Punk, Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker, and Trick Williams for the briefcase. Penta brought out his old Joker-inspired gear, which he had previously used during his time in AEW. Although previously denied permission to use it in WWE, Penta finally brought it into use during such a big occasion.
Article Continues BelowPenta had recently faced Roman Reigns in Mexico, which earned him and Reigns a lot of praise. While a rematch with Reigns was planned, although not immediately, the Money in the Bank briefcase win could potentially play a role in it.
