Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, has turned out to be an extremely dreadful and tragic day. Minutes before the passing of AEW's PAC became public, Triple H announced the death of WWE's popular “Sign Guy” Rick Achberger.
Shortly after, Triple H joined the wrestling world in mourning Achberger, the longtime WWE superfan better known as “Sign Guy,” who passed away at the age of 54. Triple H posted a tribute message on Instagram and paid homage to Achberger's WWE fandom.
“Saddened to hear of the death of Rick Achberger, known to the WWE Universe as ‘Sign Guy.’ For decades, Rick was a fixture at events holding a sign that expressed exactly how he felt about you that given evening. He will be missed by the entire [WWE] family. We send condolences to his family and friends,” Triple H wrote on social media.
“The Game” also shared a carousel of Achberger's most popular and iconic WWE signs on Instagram. The WWE Superfan was known for the creative signs he brought to WWE shows. He gradually became more well-known amongst the WWE Universe.
Amongst the pictures shared, one showed the two together during Triple H’s run as WWE Champion. The other showed him holding one of his iconic creations, a toilet seat with Triple H’s picture and the message “HHH IS C**P.”

Several other WWE Superstars also shared their love for Achberger in the comment section of Triple H's post. While many others shared their own tributes on social media, the wrestling world is currently busy mourning both PAC and Achberger's deaths.
