Former AEW Trios and WWE NXT Champion PAC, aka Neville [real name Benjamin Satterley], has passed away at the age of 40. The Newcastle, UK native wrestler passed away a few hours after wrestling at AEW PPV All Out 2026 in Chicago, IL.
“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans,” AEW shared the news on their social media.
PAC’s last match was at All Out, where he lost to Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship. Coincidentally, his last TV match for WWE was also on Sept. 26, 2017. Wrestling since 2004, PAC is well remembered worldwide for his contributions and legacy in pro-wrestling.
A former multi-time champion in both WWE and AEW, PAC parted ways with WWE in 2018 and joined AEW in 2019. A part of the promotion since then, PAC remained an All Elite till his passing. As of now, no concrete reason has been discovered regarding his passing.
AEW and WWE wrestlers pay their tributes
PAC was a part of Death Riders in AEW alongside Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Daniel Garcia. Shortly after his passing, Shafir shared an emotional speech during her recent indie wrestling appearance.
“I was just holding this man yesterday,” an emotional Shafir said. “Wrestling drives you to places in your mind…he was the best. He was the f****** best. You know why? Because he knew himself. And I think…he was just so modest about how fascinating he was.”
“I don’t know what to do. He was the light of us,” she continued. “Please, tell the people you love in your life that you love them. I was just very happy I got to tell him that I loved him yesterday. And we hugged and we spoke about weiner dogs and basketball courts. Everything. He brought the inner bastard out in me,” Shafir finished.

AEW's Lance Archer also appeared and shared his heart out on PAC's passing. AEW President Tony Khan also paid tribute to PAC. “Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace,” Khan wrote.
“Long live the King. Ben protected and took care of the cruiserweight brothers every week. I will never forget his kindness. I will never forget the feeling of realizing he is the absolute best all around performer I have been in the ring with. I will never forget him standing up to the machine. I will never forget our King,” wrote TNA's Mustafa Ali.
While WWE's Rhea Ripley shared, “What a tragic day. What an extremely talented person. Speechless…RIP PAC.” WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman also joined in and shared, “Oh no. No no no no no no no.What a tremendous talent and even finer human being. My most profound condolences to all who knew him. A truly terrible loss!”
Fellow Briton Paige wrote, “F**k man.. this is terrible. For everyone that knew Ben (pac) would tell you what an incredible human he was. Truly one of the best. This is heartbreaking.. sending so much love to his family and everyone else who was lucky enough to know him personally and to all who got to watch him perform and witness the greatness that was that man.” While AEW World Champion Will Ospreay shared the following on his death, “The greatest export from our country and also the greatest human being. Honoured to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.”
