An annual WWE tradition, the promotion has now announced the official date and location for Royal Rumble 2027. Every year, the Royal Rumble PLE officially kicks off the Road to WrestleMania, and this year it's going to begin in Arizona.

WWE announced on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, that the 2027 Royal Rumble will take place on Feb. 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This will also mark the 40th edition of the fan-favorite event.

February 6 marks the latest date WWE has ever set for the Royal Rumble, and this will only be the second occasion in the event's history that it takes place in February. Arizona will host the event for the third time, having previously done so in 2013 and 2019.

The Royal Rumble starts the road to WrestleMania with the male and female winners of the namesake match generally challenging for a particular World Title at WWE WrestleMania, later that year in April.

Last year in 2026, Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan won the male and female Royal Rumble matches in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Both went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship and Women's World Championship at WWE WrestleMania 42 against CM Punk and Stephanie Vaquer.

In addition to the WWE Royal Rumble, WWE also announced that Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale will do double duty on Friday, Feb. 5, 2027, when they'll host both Friday Night SmackDown and AAA Road to Rey de Reyes.
