Coach Jose Fernandez's Dallas Wings lost 77-73 to the Golden State Valkyries in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs, leading to blame being assigned. The Wings got 17 points and six assists from star guard Paige Bueckers on a day when the Valkyries' Kiah Stokes surpassed Brittney Griner and the WNBA announced its all-league teams.

The All-WNBA First Team included familiar names like A'ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark, but Bueckers was noticeably absent, causing fans to react in the comments section.

The selections included Clark of the Indiana Fever, Olivia Miles of the Minnesota Lynx, Kelsey Mitchell of the Favor, Wilson of the Aces and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty.

“Olivia over Paige is ridiculous!” one fan said.

“Paige Bueckers should be first team,” another said.

“I think Paige Bueckers should have been first team instead of Olivia Miles,” another said.

“Caitlin really? Are we serious?” another said.

Another said Gabby Williams of the Valkyries and Bueckers should both be on the team.

Bueckers averaged 20.9 points per game and 5.9 assists on better than 51% shooting from the field this season for coach Fernandez's team. Bueckers poured her heart, soul and tears into the Wings this season, as evidenced by the emotion she showed, and how hard she played on the court. She didn't achieve her ultimate goal of winning a championship this season, nor was she on the first team, but she helped fans make incredible memories as she proved herself one of the best women's basketball players in the world.
