After beating the Seattle Storm 103-91 on Wednesday at Climate Pledge Arena, the Dallas Wings registered one of their biggest achievements of the final night of the regular season.

With the latest victory, the Wings finished the season with a 27-17 record. The win also gave the Wings a 17-win improvement from last season, when they went 10-34.

According to ESPN's Alexa Philippou, that plus-17 jump is the largest year-to-year win improvement in WNBA history. The previous record was plus-16, a mark reached three times and most recently matched by the 2022-23 New York Liberty

“The Wings recorded the largest increase in wins from one season to the next in WNBA history (+17). The previous record was +16, done three times, most recently by the 2022-23 New York Liberty,” Philippou tweeted.

Dallas' biggest stars helped make sure the record-setting night ended with a win. Paige Bueckers led the way with 25 points, seven assists and five rebounds. She also hit a 3-pointer during the final minute to help keep Seattle from making a late push.

In addition to that, Arike Ogunbowale added 23 points and six assists, while Jessica Shepard finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. The triple-double was Shepard's league-leading sixth of the season.

The victory also gave Dallas a clean sweep of Seattle. The Wings won all four meetings with the Storm this season, aslo the first time the franchise has swept Seattle in a season series.

The Wings had already secured a playoff spot, but their final seeding was not confirmed until earlier Wednesday. Atlanta's win over New York locked Dallas into the No. 7 seed before tipoff.
