A disappointing loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 left Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff with plenty to think about. Now, he is determined to turn the page and get back on track.
The Lions will return to action on Sunday against the New York Jets at Ford Field. While they have the advantage over the Jets, the Lions cannot be overcomplacent. New York put up a gallant stand against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.
Detroit was pelted with doubts after losing to the Bills, but Goff is not the least bit perturbed, as reported by ESPN's Eric Woodyard.
“I'm excited to get back home and play in front of our fans for sure, but you love it when the vultures start coming out. The guys' characters really emerge, and I know our guys in this locker room. You get to see those guys stand tall,” said Goff.

Goff had an explosive matchup with Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Goff went 26-of-38 for 327 yards and four touchdowns, while Allen threw 20-of-31 for 248 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 14 carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns.
The Lions, who had a lackluster start, tried to rally in the fourth quarter. They, however, ran out of steam, allowing the Bills to hack out the 10-point win.
Goff and coach Dan Campbell lamented their slow start, stressing that their offense cannot sputter.
The Lions, even with an injury-stricken lineup, have no time to dwell on their painful defeat. A convincing victory over the Jets in Week 3 will surely silence the critics.
