Will Stein and the Kentucky Wildcats are not afraid to take risks as they went for the win during their contest against Lane Kiffin and the No. 10 LSU Tigers on Saturday night.
Both teams traded blows throughout the night, seeing Kentucky lead 21-17 at halftime. LSU did enough in the second half to force overtime and even took back the lead. Despite this, the Wildcats pulled off a successful game-winning drive that saw them pull off the two-point conversion to win by one point over the ranked Tigers.
Stein reflected on the win after the game, per insider Ross Dellenger. When talking about the decision to go for it, he expressed his full commitment to winning games even with the risk of losing being in the picture.
“You gotta play to win. I don't know what else to say,” Stein said.
Football writer Steve Helwick even noted the significance of Stein's early success with the Wildcats so far.

Will Stein is enjoying an incredible start to his stint with Kentucky, getting a valuable win over No. 10 LSU. The Wildcats are now one win away from securing bowl eligibility and may have placed themselves in the next AP Top 25 poll after this victory.

CJ Baxter flourished in the run game, racking up 19 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Kenny Darby led receivers with 79 yards on four catches. DJ Miller followed with four receptions for 54 yards, while Willie Rodriguez caught six passes for 25 yards.
The Wildcats will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Oklahoma Sooners in Week 7 as kickoff commences on Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
