The Bulldogs maintained their unbeaten record on Saturday with a 20-17 win over Alabama. With the win, Georgia finally brought an end to its long wait for a regular-season win over the Crimson Tide.
The victory marked Georgia’s first regular-season win over Alabama in Tuscaloosa since 2007. Nearly two decades later, Kirby Smart’s squad produced another memorable performance on the Crimson Tide’s home turf. It also marked Smart's first regular season win over Alabama.
