The NBA just revealed all 30 courts for NBA Cup games this season. Like the jerseys that teams wear for in-season tournament games, the courts are supposed to stand out with bright, vibrant colors, as well as an identity that touches home for NBA teams. This year, the NBA took a slightly different approach with NBA Cup courts.
While courts are still supposed to have a meaning for the team playing on them, there is more uniformity across the league. Every court shares similar traits, such as team lettering/names spelled across the court, NBA Cup trophies at mid-court and in each lane, and the tagline “30 Teams. 8 Advance. 1 Champion” spelled out near the corner 3-point line.
With more of a homogeneous nature this year, fewer courts stood out as particularly good or particularly bad. The Boston Celtics court stood above the rest, though.
The Celtics have the best NBA Cup court

The Celtics are a team of tradition and legacy. They have a league-leading 18 championships and have been one of the most popular teams in the NBA for well over the last half-century. Because of that, the Celtics tend not to get too crazy when it comes to changing things up, especially their iconic look.

The dark green that is so iconic on Boston jerseys is showcased in a big way on the hardwood. A lighter green spells out the team name across the court, and the greens perfectly blend with the championship gold displayed on the court, illustrating Boston's winning ways in the process.
Furthermore, the TD Garden logo near mid-court reminds everyone that the Celtics play in arguably the most iconic venue in all of basketball. The out-of-bounds lines also pop much more than they do on other courts around the league. Grey isn't one of Boston's typical colors, but it works, as do the rectangle patterns on the sidelines. The cherry on top is Bill Russell's number 6 displayed near the half-court line.
The Celtics have one of two green NBA Cup courts. The Utah Jazz gave them the most competition for reining supreme, but ultimately, Boston has the best playing surface in the league this year.
