Dylan Cease might have pitched in his last game in the 2026 MLB season. The Toronto Blue Jays pitcher has been scratched from his scheduled next start amid concerns of a shoulder injury.

The Blue Jays are reportedly still waiting for the results of Cease's MRI on his pitching shoulder, leaving them with the decision to keep him off the mound, at least for now.

“Just wanted to see, with the [velocity drop] and if there's anything tied to that,” Schneider said. “Not expecting anything crazy,” Toronto manager John Schneider said on Sunday (h/t ESPN).
