The Buffalo Bills are off to a sharp start this season with consecutive victories over the Houston Texans and the Detroit Lions in their first two games of the season. Both games saw the Bills display a decisive offense led by quarterback Josh Allen, and the team appears to have new enthusiasm while playing under first-year head coach Joe Brady.

The Bills opened their spanking-new Highmark Stadium Thursday night with a 41-31 triumph over the Lions, and that came just four days after the Bills opened the season with a 36-31 road victory over the Texans.

The Bills are hoping to have another winning season and then take it a step further once the playoffs get underway. While the first two games have been successful, the Bills really don't look much different than they have int he past. They appear to have a dominant offensive team, but their defense is once again vulnerable.

The Bills have given up 31 points in consecutive games and the defense struggled against both opponents even though outside linebacker Greg Rousseau has already recorded 4.0 sacks.

Fox sports talk-show host Chris Broussard pointed out the Bills' defensive shortcomings after the win over the Lions. “I can't say they are the best team in the league,” Broussard said. “The best team in the league doesn't give up 31 points in back to back games.”

Broussard tempered his remarks by pointing out that the Bills are one of the teams in the NFL that could win the Super Bowl. If that happens, it would allow Buffalo to become Super Bowl champions for the first time in team history.
