The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently gearing up for Game 3 of their NLDS series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday afternoon on the road. The Dodgers are currently tied 1-1 with Atlanta after dropping a frustrating contest in Game 2 at home over the weekend.
The Dodgers won Game 1 of this series thanks in large part to a dominant pitching performance from ace Tarik Skubal, and now, the latest reporting has revealed when Skubal could be on the mound again for Los Angeles.
“Tarik Skubal throwing bullpen session in preparation for his next start…possibly Game 5,” reported David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports on X, formerly Twitter.
Of course, if the Dodgers have their way, they'll win the next two games in Atlanta and avoid a Game 5 altogether, in which case Skubal would likely be the starter for Game 1 of the ensuing NLCS.
However, Los Angeles certainly has their work cut out for them in order to make that scenario a reality. Los Angeles' main hitters, headlined by Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, have largely been dormant so far in this series, with the team mustering just two runs in Sunday's loss to Atlanta despite the Braves running out an all-bullpen lineup.
On Tuesday, Los Angeles will face off against the formidable Chris Sale, who is coming off a long rest after Walt Weiss opted not to rush him back in Game 2 in a gutsy move that ended up paying off.

Game 3 between the Dodgers and Braves is slated to get underway at 6:00 pm ET from Atlanta.
