Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter is sounding off on the Ravens' trade for former Eagles center Cam Jurgens. The Ravens acquired Jurgens earlier this week with a 2027 seventh-round pick, sending the Eagles a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick.

In media availability on Wednesday, Minter weighed in on the trade and the need for a skill set like Jurgens'.

“I commend the front office for acquiring Cam Jurgens from the Eagles. Really excited about that. It's going to make our team better. Obviously, it's a position where we've had a rash of injuries, so I'm excited about adding him. He's obviously a very high-caliber player. Been in the Pro Bowl the last couple years. Excited to be here, excited to join our team, and so we look forward to that. ”

“We are excited to acquire a two-time Pro Bowl center, Cam Jurgens, from the Eagles in a trade,” Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement. “Cam is a player we have long admired going all the way back to the draft process. He’s a young foundational piece along our offensive line – a great scheme and cultural fit who will contribute quickly in Baltimore. We are confident that Cam will significantly impact our team and community.”

The Eagles selected Jurgens in the second round with the 51st overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He was a part of their Super Bowl-winning team and earned Pro Bowl recognition in 2024 and 2025.
