The Kansas City Chiefs are taking on the New York Jets in Week 9, as the club aims to get back in the win column after suffering two straight losses. There was a moment in the second quarter when Patrick Mahomes stepped off the field after sustaining an injury to his throwing arm. However, he did return to the field before halftime, and head coach Andy Reid provided a quick update on Mahomes' status.

Right before going into the locker room at the end of the second quarter, Reid revealed that the 31-year-old was dealing with pain in his right elbow. Reid claimed that Mahomes' elbow is sore, but not sore enough to keep him out of the game.

"He hurt his elbow a little bit. It's sore, but he came back, and he's a tough kid."
