Caleb Wilson felt like he was back in college again when he recently returned to Chapel Hill and played some hoops with North Carolina students. He even threw one down off the board to the delight of everyone who witnessed the Chicago Bulls rookie's basketball prowess.

It was a great reminder of how great of a player Wilson was during his time with the Tar Heels, albeit a short one. During his lone season in college in the 2025-26 campaign, Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 bloicks and 1.4 steals, while shooting 57.8 percent from the field through 24 games.
Wilson is missed in North Carolina, but he's now a pro, with many expecting him to become the face of the Bulls franchise. Chicago selected the 6-10 forward Wilson fourth overall in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft, with dreams of seeing him blossom into a star. Wilson has the talent and tools to make that happen, and his rookie year in the league should be able to give Chicago and its fans more reasons to feel good about him and the team's future.
Wilson was able to show glimpses of his promise in the 2026 NBA Summer League. In four games, he averaged 23.5 points, while shooting 50 percent from the field. Wilson also racked up 7.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. He showed his incredible athleticism with great plays, including a monster poster dunk against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Wilson can make his regular-season debut on Oct. 7 against the Phoenix Suns at the United Center in Chicago.
