LeBron James is gearing up for an unprecedented 24th season. There will be a different layer of pressure, as he will want to let it rain and bring his A-game in his first year with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Earlier this month, James grabbed attention with his workout video with Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown. Seeing them make a conscious effort to build a connection ahead of training camp was very encouraging.

The same, however, cannot be said about the latest video of James playing in a pickup game, as his bricked shots would make the late Philip Seymour Hoffman proud. As the greatest linguists in human history liked to say: IYKYK.

Hoffman, who played the role of Sandy Lyle, had an iconic scene alongside Ben Stiller in the movie “Along Came Polly,” wherein he bricked shots and played awfully in a 3-on-3 game. Hoffman's random quips and irrational confidence were perfect for the hilarious scene.

Of course, the 42-year-old James was roasted in the pristine world of X.

“The King needs bricks for his castle,” said @motorxycle.

“He got that Los Angeles legacy going for him,” added @freeterirozier3.

“Glad this old a** dude is off my team,” wrote @60mgzz.

“He already had one too many cheesesteaks,” joked @sellmeyours0l.

“These are HARD bricks, LOL,” commented @Astrobilio.

Many, however, also came to the aid of the four-time MVP, pointing out that the post deliberately showed only the misses for cheap clicks.

Last season, James shot 51.5%, the seventh consecutive year he shot over 50%. He averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals.

A petition for James to scream “RAIN DANCE!” before every shot in the upcoming season.
