Odell Beckham Jr. has found his next NFL opportunity after his short-lived return to the New York Giants came to an end. The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday that they have signed the veteran wide receiver to their practice squad. Meanwhile, Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell's personal gesture toward Beckham Jr. appears to have left a strong impression on the veteran receiver.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Beckham Jr. revealed that O'Connell reached out to him immediately after the Giants released him, showing his desire to bring the veteran wideout to Minnesota.

“It seemed as if he wanted me to be here. And that was expressed to me. And that feels good. It always feels better when you’re doing it for somebody who, you know, you feel like their heart is there for it as well. So that was really kind of it,” Beckham Jr. said.

The Giants originally selected Beckham Jr. with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent his first five seasons with the franchise.

New York brought back the former first-round pick during the offseason, but his second stint with the organization lasted only three games.

Now, Beckham will get another opportunity with a Vikings team that could use additional depth and experience at wide receiver.

However, Minnesota's decision to bring in Beckham comes at a time when the team is dealing with injury concerns at the position. Justin Jefferson missed the Vikings' Week 4 victory over the Miami Dolphins because of an ankle injury. Moreover, Jordan Addison has also been dealing with a hamstring injury.

So far, the Vikings remain undefeated at 4-0 and are preparing for their Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

If Jefferson and Addison are both unable to play in the upcoming game, Beckham Jr. could have a legitimate opportunity to suit up and make his Vikings debut.
