The Minnesota Vikings will be facing the Buffalo Bills this week, and they could be without some of their key players for the matchup. There was already doubt surrounding Kyler Murray's status for the game, as he suffered a hamstring injury in their last game, and Carson Wentz is set to be QB1 against the Bills.
Now, the Vikings may be down without one of their wide receivers, as Jauan Jennings has popped up on the injury report with a calf injury. The good news is that he was limited on the first day of practice, and he still has two more days to show that he can play.
Jennings hasn't been very productive for the Vikings this season, as he only has 54 receiving yards.
There was a chance that Jennings was going to be in a trade that sent him back to the San Francisco 49ers, but after a conversation with head coach Kyle Shanahan, they didn't pursue the deal.
“We love Jauan,” Shanahan said via ESPN's Nick Wagoner. “We have such a good relationship with Jauan and know him real well, and we didn't want to do it without talking to him first. So, we had to agree on some things to at least make it close enough to be able to talk to him. And when we got on a FaceTime with JJ, it went well.
“We talked about a lot of stuff, and he ended up saying that he was happy with where he was. It wasn't just like a definite no at first, but he was like, ‘Man, Kyle, I'm pretty happy here and liking stuff.'”
It's no surprise that Jennings didn't want to get traded, especially with the Vikings playing some of the best football in the league.
