Utah State linebacker Harrison Taggart left Saturday's game versus Utah in an ambulance after suffering a possible head/neck injury in the second quarter, per Utes beat writer Josh Furlong. The redshirt senior offered his teammates and the fans watching inside Rice-Eccles Stadium a sign of hope, pointing his finger toward the sky as he was being wheeled into the ambulance. Hopefully, Aggies head coach Bronco Mendenhall will soon have a positive update to share regarding Taggart's status.
Medical staffs are obviously going to take extra caution when there is the fear of a head or neck injury, but it is somewhat encouraging to see the player gesture to the crowd. Prayers are with Taggart and his family during this time.
