USC wide receiver Corey Simms will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after suffering a knee injury, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reported on Friday night. The sophomore had already been ruled out of the Trojans' 41-27 loss to Oregon last Saturday after playing in USC's first four games.

Simms made the first three starts of his career this season, emerging as a go-to piece in the Trojans' passing game. Through four appearances, he recorded 12 receptions for 178 yards and one touchdown, ranking fourth on the team in catches. His best performance came against Rutgers, when he caught four passes for 72 yards and scored the first touchdown of his career.

The injury ends Simms' second season at USC. As a true freshman in 2025, he appeared in all 13 games but primarily contributed on special teams, finishing with only one reception for six yards. Across his two seasons with the Trojans, Simms has hauled in with 13 catches for 184 yards and one touchdown.

His absence leaves quarterback Jayden Maiava without one of his top receiving options as USC prepares to face Washington on Sunday. The Trojans enter the matchup at 4-1 overall and 1-1 in Big Ten play after falling to the Ducks. The Huskies are 3-1 overall and 0-1 in conference action after a 27-24 loss to Minnesota.

USC could also be without freshman wide receiver Trent Mosley, who was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report. Mosley has missed the past two games but has 13 receptions for 255 yards and a team-best four touchdown catches this season.

The Trojans will host Washington at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, with the game scheduled to air on NBC.
