A few days ago, UFC fans around the globe were left concerned when veteran Raoni Barcelos fell unconscious in the middle of the cage. Barcelos, 39, lost consciousness during his fight with the 21-year-old Raul Rosas Jr.
UFC's medical team immediately checked for a pulse before he was stretchered out. Barcelos was then taken to a Las Vegas hospital. Later, his coach shared a positive update. Journalist Ariel Helwani also shared an update regarding his UFC Vegas 121 scary incident. “Update on Raoni Barcelos, per sources: He’s able to talk. He’s very conscious and lucid, I’m told. He’s able to walk and eat, as well. Still unclear what happened. And still unclear how long he’ll be in the hospital for,” Helwani wrote.
Now, on social media, Barcelos has finally opened up about his condition and shared a positive update. “I wanted to send you all a message to let you know that I’m okay. I’m doing very well, and I’m getting all the necessary tests done here at the hospital.
“Man, I gave everything I had inside that cage. Like I said before, the only way I was leaving that cage was being carried out and that’s how it ended up happening. It wasn’t the way I wanted it to go. I wanted to become champion and leave with the victory, but God knows everything,” he shared. “So, on to the next one. I’m here, I’m okay, and I’ll be back. Barcelos' incident caused more panic amongst the fans after former AEW wrestler Andy Williams and PAC passed away, while Steven Borden suffered an injury during All Out 2026.
