For years, the Los Angeles Chargers have been loaded with talent and had sky-high expectations because of it. For whatever reason, they seemingly always come up short. Injuries, underperformances, and questionable coaching decisions have all played a part in Los Angeles' shortcomings over the years.
The Chargers are 0-2 this season, too, with their two losses coming against the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders, two teams expected to be at the bottom of the standings. Both of those losses were among the most underwhelming league-wide. The team is up on the Buffalo Bills 13-10 in their Week 3 matchup, though.
Despite that, Tom Brady has had issues with the offensive play calling from Mike McDaniel. The team's decisions in the red zone, in particular, have driven the best NFL player ever, who is in the broadcast booth for the game, crazy.
McDaniel is known for unorthodox and innovative play calling, but he could also get too cute at times. That has been the case against the Bills at times. Even so, Los Angeles fans can't complain too much, considering the Chargers are up on one of the best teams in the league and a team that has been scorching hot to start the season. If anybody can critique anything, though, it is the seven-time champion.
The Chargers still have playoff aspirations, so avoiding going 0-3 is paramount. A win against a perennial contender like the Bills would go a long way in righting the ship in Los Angeles.
