The Tennessee Titans made the decision to release Jordan Elliott after he attempted to get a gun from his car during an altercation with one of his teammates last week. Following the release, head coach Robert Saleh spoke about the situation and had good things to say about the former Titans player.
“These kids go through a lot. I will stand on the table for Jordan’s character. My message to 31 other teams: If you need a hell of a run-stopping DT that can help for a playoff run, give me a call. I'll tell you everything you need to know about him. He’s a good man. Had a terrible lapse in judgment.”
Saleh noted that Elliott is a father and works hard, and that him getting the gun was maybe a “small sign of a cry for help.”
