Tennessee Titans’ start to the 2026 NFL season is disastrous by any measure. The Titans are 0-3 heading into Sunday's matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, and Cam Ward has faced increased scrutiny after a costly interception ended Tennessee's comeback attempt against the New York Giants in Week 3.

Much of the criticism towards the team is centered around quarterback Cam Ward. However, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll continues to stand behind Ward despite the team's winless start to the 2026 season.

Despite the struggles, Daboll remains confident in the young quarterback.

“I have a lot of faith in him as a person and a player,” Daboll said of Ward.

Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has completed 55 of 88 passes for 504 yards, two touchdowns and one interception through three games. His 80.9 passer rating has also reflected an uneven start for a Titans offense that has struggled to consistently move the ball.

The biggest issue came late against the Giants. Tennessee reached the New York 8-yard line while trailing 12-7, but Ward threw toward the end zone instead of taking off with room to run. Giants safety Jevon Holland intercepted the pass with 24 seconds remaining to end the Titans' final opportunity.

However, Ward initially defended the decision but acknowledged Wednesday that he needs to improve in critical situations.

“I just don't think I played, you know, my best in critical situations,” Ward said. “When I need to play my best, you know, I didn't. That's something I got to get better at.”

The Titans next play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, October 4, at M&T Bank Stadium.
