LaMelo Ball has not gotten off to the best of starts to begin his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves following the blockbuster offseason trade that saw him get shipped off from the Charlotte Hornets. Entering play on Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks, Ball is averaging just 14.4 points and 6.3 assists per contest in his new digs all while shooting just 39.5% from the field.
But with Anthony Edwards out for the foreseeable future, the onus is on Ball to lead the way for this Timberwolves offense. On Monday, he got off to a hot shooting start against the Bucks and made history.
In need of just three more triples to cross the 1,000 made three-pointers mark for his career, the Timberwolves star accomplished just that within the first four minutes, scoring 11 of their first 15 points of the contest in the process.
Ball was due for a hot shooting night, and playing at home against a rebuilding Bucks team that currently ranks 27th in defensive rating appears to be the perfect formula for the Timberwolves floor general to keep it going.
The Timberwolves star became just the 188th player in NBA history to cross the 1,000 mark for career made triples.
