Tiger Woods may have written himself into the history books.
The 15-time Major champion helped create a brand new two-tier PGA Tour structure which will be adopted in 2028.
Details about membership criteria and eligibility were released this week.
One pathway is a Career Milestone Exemption, allowing top 50 players from the all-time money list to choose a one-time, one-year exemption to play in the Championship Series in 2028.
Unfortunately, there is a minimum requirement of playing in 15 PGA Tour events in 2027 -- a brutal task for the 50-year-old, who has just been bumped into second place for career earnings by Scottie Scheffler.
"I think Tiger might be SOL. There ain't no chance Tiger's playing 15 or more events in 2027," Golf Insider's Dan Rapaport said.
"I don't think that Tiger would be eligible to play in, I don't really see a path to him playing in the Championship Series in 2028.
"There's no chance in hell he plays 15 events in 2027. So I guess, I mean, Tiger might be finished playing the top-level PGA Tour events."

Woods could still play on the Challenger SeriesÃÂ and senior circuit, but the new-look tour looks set to spell the end of his career in elite-level golf, with Jack Nicklaus' record 17 Major triumphs still in tact.
The icon still has his indoor TGL venture, which is booming with a $1 billion valuation, and is still able to swing clubs.
"I can hit pretty much anything," he said recently. "I am a little stiff today because last night we were all having fun hanging out."
The issue is playing 72 holes over the course of a weekend 15 times in a year after multiple surgeries.
"Tiger was the chair, I think still is the chair, of this Future Competitions Committee that actually came up with these rules," Rapaport added.
"So Tiger came up with a system, or helped come up with one, and ratified a system that basically excludes him from playing in these Championship Series events.
"I don't see a situation in which Tiger Woods is playing in the Championship Series.
"And [Brian] Rolapp said at the press conference, he did what's best for the PGA Tour, not what's best for Tiger Woods. I think it's fascinating."
Eventually, golf is going to have to find a future beyond Woods.
Perhaps it will be his son Charlie who picks up the baton after committing to Florida State and signing an NIL deal as he walks in his Tiger's giant pawprints.
