The Golden State Valkyries seized control of the WNBA Finals after beating the Atlanta Dream, 64-55, in Game 5 at Chase Center on Monday. The Valkyries, who have won back-to-back meetings, grabbed the lead, 3-2, in the best-of-seven series.

The low-scoring affair worked in Golden State's favor. Atlanta was held to just 29% from the field.

Veronica Burton led the Valkyries with 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and four blocks. Kiah Stokes had 13 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks, while Tiffany Hayes added 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals.

After the win, Hayes issued a simple message.

“We got one more to go. Let's get it,” said the hard-nosed guard.
