San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner received two fines totaling $41,793 for his actions during the team's 36-30 Week 3 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Warner received one of the fines for a hip-drop tackle that went unflagged during the game. The NFL assessed the 49ers star a $17,911 fine for the play, accounting for part of the $41,793 total he accumulated from two violations in the divisional matchup.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo shared the disciplinary action Saturday on X, formerly known as Twitter, along with a clip of the hip-drop tackle.
“#49ers LB Fred Warner was fined twice for a total of $41,793 in Week 3, including $17,911 for this hip-drop tackle that wasn’t flagged.”
Despite officials not penalizing Warner for the hip-drop tackle during the game, the NFL reviewed the play and issued the fine afterward.

Fred Warner receives two fines after 49ers' Week 3 victory
Warner's fines come after San Francisco maintained its undefeated start to the 2026 season with another NFC West victory.
The 49ers defeated the Cardinals by six points to improve to 3-0 through their first three games. San Francisco will now attempt to maintain that momentum as it prepares for a Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
Warner remains a central piece of the 49ers' defense after returning from the significant ankle injury that limited him during the 2025 season. The veteran linebacker opened the 2026 campaign with a dominant performance against the Los Angeles Rams and became San Francisco's all-time leader in tackles during the victory.
The fines will not affect Warner's availability for Week 4, leaving him in position to lead the defense against Denver.
The 49ers will host the 2-1 Broncos on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. PT on CBS as they attempt to improve to 4-0.
