While WNBA star Caitlin Clark is a Kansas City Chiefs fan, having attended several games with Travis Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift, she was worried she'd upset fans while making an appearance at an Indianapolis Colts game in 2025.

Appearing on Kylie Kelce's podcast, Clark recalled the scary experience (via People). Clark is a Chiefs fan, but she plays for the Indiana Fever. Her allegiance was tested at the Colts game, as the team handed her a jersey.

Somehow, she managed to avoid putting it on. Kelce admitted that it “really struck a chord” seeing Clark at the Colts game, and while she does “have to support the hometown team,” her Indianapolis fandom doesn't compare to her Chiefs fandom.

Kelce was happy Clark avoided putting the jersey on, but she wasn't thinking about making Travis Kelce and Chiefs fans “mad.” Her intuition took over. She was, however, the only one of her teammates not to put the jersey on, which she still has.

“Honestly, in real time I wasn't thinking I'm not gonna put this on because I don't want, like, the Chiefs fans or Travis mad or whatever, but after the fact, I didn't realize that all my teammates had it on, so that made me look worse,” Clark explained.

Clark was recently seen at Arrowhead Stadium with Swift. She was at the Chiefs' Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. This was not the first time they went to a game together, though.

Previously, Clark attended the Chiefs' AFC Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans in January 2025 with Swift. Months later, she returned to Arrowhead for the Chiefs' game against the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs are 0-2 since Clark last attended a game. They will next host the New York Jets in Week 9 before playing the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals.
