Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins has been dealing with a hamstring injury since the 36-31 Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills. While he looked good in the season opener, it appears he needs some time to fully recover from the injury.

Reports indicate that the 27-year-old is officially ruled out of the Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It is currently unknown how long Collins will be out for.

“Texans ruled out WR Nico Collins due to his hamstring injury,” Schefter reported.

The announcement comes after the six-year veteran did not participate in the Texans' practice on Friday. Collins did not participate in Thursday's practice either after being a limited participant on Wednesday.
