On Sunday morning, the Houston Texans picked up their second straight victory with a win in London over the Jacksonville Jaguars. CJ Stroud and the offense were on fire throughout the day for Houston, which is now starting to look like a strong team again after their disastrous 0-4 start to the season.
In fact, recently, former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky stopped by ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show and heaped some major praise on Stroud amid his hot start to the season.
“CJ Stroud was the best that he's ever been against the blitz yesterday and he's seeing the field so clean right now.. He's gonna play himself into the MVP conversation if he keeps playing like this,” he said, per Pat McAfee on X, formerly Twitter.
Stroud entered this season facing what many considered to be a “prove it” year, with the Texans seemingly unconvinced that he was a suitable long-term solution at quarterback for the team following his major regression over the last couple of seasons.

Now that the defense has started to get back on track, Stroud could certainly stake his claim in the MVP mix if he continues to play at this level and the Texans continue stacking wins.
In any case, the Texans will next hit the field next Sunday for a very winnable home game against the New York Giants at 1:00 pm ET.
