Seahawks cornerback Terrion Arnold got some bad news on Monday, when co-defendant Boakai Hilton pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against Arnold.
As to the case against Arnold, there’s still no trial date.
Via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, the matter returns to court on December 15 for a status hearing. It’s highly unlikely that the case will go to trial before the 2026 season ends. Which means it’s highly unlikely that Arnold will play for the Seahawks in 2026.
The only path to playing would consist of a plea deal that results in jail time plus an unpaid suspension of less than 17 games. Arnold would get credit for the games missed on paid leave.
Given that the alleged mastermind of the armed robbery and kidnapping aimed at recovering property stolen from a home Arnold had rented, it’s hard to imagine the prosecution offering a plea bargain with no jail time. That makes it virtually impossible for Arnold to play this season — unless lawyer Harvey Steinberg can somehow secure a My Cousin Vinny-style dismissal of all charges.
