The Dallas Cowboys have started the season 1-2, but there shouldn't be much panic with it still being early. On the other hand, there are some who are already counting them out, and it's a former Cowboys player. Terrell Owens was recently asked in an interview with Roto Grinders about where he thinks the Cowboys rank this season, and he wasn't too big on them, especially since they dropped their first game against the New York Giants.

Owens was then asked if he believed the Cowboys were overrated, and he took a shot at owner Jerry Jones.

“At the end of the day, I think Jerry, he’s not really concerned about that. Yeah, winning helps, but I mean, he’s kept the team in contention. Whether he wins the Super Bowl or gets to the playoffs, the bottom line for him is money. He’s selling all his fans across the country. He’s selling them a dream every year, and they’re buying it. I’m not drinking the Kool-Aid,” Owens said.

It doesn't seem like Owens and Jones are the best of friends after a comment like that, and it's uncertain if he's always felt that way. The Cowboys usually have good teams, but they haven't been able to get anything out of it when it comes to the postseason.

Coming into this season, there was a lot of hype surrounding the team, especially after they revamped their defense. So far, there haven't been many highlights on that side of the ball, but after recently trading for Joey Porter Jr., the hope is that he can help them get on track.

There is still a lot of time left in the season, so Owens may have to eat his words at some point, but as of now, he has a point that they haven't started off as well as they probably would have liked.
