The Las Vegas Aces vs. Indiana Fever game did not go as expected, as a chirpy courtside fan initiated a heated altercation with A’ja Wilson. During a mid-game sequence, the Aces center shoved Sophie Cunningham to the ground while she was trying to defend her.
A fan sitting just a second row from the sideline visibly pointed at Wilson while allegedly saying, “That’s on you.” The eight-time WNBA All-Star charged towards the fan while he was pulled to his seat.
Within a few seconds, arena staff were all around the place and were able to make peace of the situation. However, another video started making the rounds on the internet where Sydney Colson was seen getting into a verbal altercation with another fan.
In a 12-second video posted on X, formerly Twitter, Colson was seen confronting a spectator near the court during a recent Aces-Fever game. Colson had to be held back by team personnel and arena staff as the exchange escalated.

The incident reportedly followed repeated comments from the fan toward Wilson. The Aces star had alerted game officials and arena security about the spectator and asked for the fan to be removed.
Arena staff reviewed the situation but determined that the comments did not violate the venue's fan code of conduct. The spectator was allowed to remain in the seats, leading Colson to approach the fan herself.
Colson and Wilson were teammates in Las Vegas during 2022-24, and the two guards have developed a close relationship during the Aces' championship run. Colson has also become one of the team's vocal leaders despite primarily playing a reserve role.
Wilson remained focused on the game despite the exchange. The four-time MVP finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists against Indiana.
