Originally, Lacy has a song titled “Oh yeah?” which was parodied by Danay on Instagram. Danay replaced the “Come on, come on, come on” refrain with “LeBron, LeBron, LeBron.”

This was a timely tribute, as the Sixers are just days away from playing the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. It will mark James' regular-season debut for the team.

LeBron faced a tough decision during the 2026 offseason. He opted to leave the Los Angeles Lakers after eight years. His next team would likely be his last stop in his storied NBA career.

On July 24, 2026, he announced that he was joining the 76ers for the upcoming season. He signed a two-year, $8-million contract that includes a player option.

He and the 76ers are hoping to dethrone the reigning champion Knicks this season. The Sixers were swept by the Knicks during the playoffs in embarrassing fashion.

In the offseason, the 76ers bolstered their roster, which already included the likes of Joel Embiid, VJ Edgecomb, and Tyrese Maxey. LeBron and former Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown joined the team in the offseason.

Even at 41, James is one of the best players in the NBA. His numbers took a dip last year, going from averaging 24.4 points per game during the 2024-25 season to 20.9 points per game, but the Lakers still made the playoffs. They narrowly beat the Houston Rockets after almost blowing a 3-0 lead in the first round before being swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals.
