Things took a turn for the Dallas Cowboys after the club suffered a 24-16 Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on “Thursday Night Football.” Dak Prescott was involved in a viral clip immediately after the game, as an employee of AT&T Stadium informed the star quarterback that he and the team were “embarrassing” in the loss. Since that incident, that employee was allegedly fired, and now Stephen A. Smith shares his opinion on the matter.

The popular ESPN sports analyst went off during the latest episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” blasting away at the 33-year-old signal-caller for allegedly getting that employee canned. While that is not a confirmed scenario, Smith ranted that it's still a bad look for Prescott. He also informed the unnamed employee that it wasn't his place to call out the Cowboys quarterback.

“Apparently, some cat went on social media and announced that he was fired by the Cowboys because he's the guy that yelled at Dak Prescott, 'embarrassing,' at AT&T Stadium,” Smith said. “If Dak Prescott got the dude fired, yeah, that's kind of weak because you're making $60 million a year and you only got two playoff victories in your career. I mean, damn… The brother that yelled 'embarrassing,' yo, man. I want everybody to be gainfully employed…

“I get it… [But] you gotta know your battles, and you gotta know how to pick them,” Smith continued. “You gotta know that you can't just go out there and just talk smack to a quarterback that just lost the game while he's walking into the locker room. And you work for the damn team. And you work at the stadium. Know your freaking place! Can't do that.”

The loss gives the Cowboys a 2-3 record through the first five games of the campaign. It's not looking too great in Dallas right now, as the offseason adjustments just haven't clicked yet. The team will have a shot at redemption in Week 6 when they take on the Green Bay Packers in a “Sunday Night Football” showdown.
