Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is emphasizing the big picture and the refusal to lose confidence after collapsing in a 27-24 loss against the Oklahoma Sooners in Week 6 this past weekend.

Texas performed very well in the first half, outscoring Oklahoma 17-7 in the opening 30 minutes of regulation. Manning performed solid throughout that frame, but he regressed in a major way in the last 30 minutes.

The Sooners took full advantage, outscoring the Longhorns 20-7 in the second half. They used a pick-6 interception and a game-winning field goal in the dying seconds to stun the top-ranked squad in the country.

Manning spoke with media during Monday's press conference ahead of Week 7, per reporter Tyler Horka. Having conceded the interception that ignited Oklahoma's fourth-quarter rally, the star quarterback was insightful with his outlook on the remaining games this season despite the stunning collapse against the Sooners.

“All losses hurt. But it’s about how you respond. You’re not going to win every game in life or in football. I don’t think anyone’s ever won every game. But you can respond well. And that’s what we’re going to do,” Manning said.
