The Pittsburgh Steelers are suddenly looking vulnerable following Thursday Night Football. Pittsburgh lost a heartbreaking game against Cleveland, falling to 2-2 on the season. It was a brutal gut punch after the Steelers traded Joey Porter Jr. to the Cowboys just one day before. That series of events seems to be weighing on the team's veteran quarterback.

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers sounded annoyed by a question about Porter following Thursday's tough loss.

“You gotta ask the defensive guys, they're probably around him more often,” Rodgers said after the game, per Steelers reporter Chris Adamski. “You know, I thought Joey might play this week based on his practice stuff. But, you know, we wish Joey well.”

In some respects, it is easy to understand where Rodgers is coming from here. Porter had yet to make his Steelers debut this season and was in and out of practice for weeks. So it is certainly a possibility that Rodgers had not see as much of Porter lately because of his contract dispute.

Still, it is clear that the combination of Thursday's loss and the Porter trade don't have Rodgers feeling great.

Rodgers is playing in his final NFL season and would obviously like to ride off into the sunset after a successful season. Instead, the Steelers are dipping their toes into rebuild mode and look in danger of falling behind in a competitive AFC North division. Remember, Pittsburgh is 2-2 while Cleveland is now 3-1 while Baltimore and Cincinnati are 2-1.

To make matters worse, both Jalen Ramsey and Jamel Dean are dealing with injuries at cornerback. The Steelers could really use a cornerback like Porter right now.

Pittsburgh is now under a lot of pressure to start stacking wins. Otherwise the entire team could fall apart at the seams throughout the rest of the season.

Next up for the Steelers is a Week 5 matchup against the Colts. That AFC contest kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Oct. 11 from Acrisure Stadium.
