The Dallas Stars are opening their 2026-27 NHL campaign against the St. Louis Blues. Dallas is looking to bounce back from a disappointing exit in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. On Friday, they got a scare when Roope Hintz went down with an injury.

Hintz was skating on Friday when he was knocked off the puck by Blues defender Brandon Carlo. The veteran defenseman collided with the Stars forward knee-on-knee. Hintz was initially helped off the ice, but eventually returned to the game.
