On Thursday, the Chicago Bears opted to shake things up by making a blockbuster trade for Tennessee Titans star pass rusher Jeffrey Simmons. The Bears sent out multiple first-round draft picks in return, with the move making it clear that Chicago was all-in on competing for a Super Bowl as soon as this year.

Now, an old video from before a previous matchup between the Bears and Titans has resurfaced, showing Simmons joking about “knocking the nail polish” off of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

It will be interesting to see if Williams has any hard feelings about the video, or even knows of its existence in the first place, but Simmons will likely be happy to be on a competitive team after seeing his talents wither away on the Titans over the last several years.

The Bears, meanwhile, currently sit at 5-2 on the season, and fancy themselves legit championship contenders this year, having recently defeated the New England Patriots in comfortable fashion at home and now gearing up for a game against the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on the road.

Simmons is regarded as one of the best overall defensive players in the league, and the Bears' pass rush was one of the few questionable areas on the roster, so having him in the fold should certainly help them out in that regard.

In any case, Simmons is expected to make his Bears debut on Monday evening against the Seahawks on the road. Kickoff for that game is set for 8:15 pm ET from Seattle.
