On Sunday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks hit the field on the road for a game against the Washington Commanders on the road. The Seahawks saw the return of starting quarterback Sam Darnold for this one, while Marcus Mariota started in place of Jayden Daniels for Washington.
The Seahawks have also seen their running back depth tested this year after the departure of Kenneth Walker III and injury recovery for Zach Charbonnet, and rookie Jadarian Price saw his issues with putting the ball on the turf continue on Sunday early in the first quarter.
“Seahawks catching the wrong side of turnover fortune. Ken Walker III in 4 years = zero lost fumbles. Jadarian Price in 3 games = 2 lost fumbles,” reported Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic on X, formerly Twitter.
Meanwhile, Walker III has been having an excellent start to the season for the Kansas City Chiefs, which continued with two early touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon on the road.
While fumble issues are not uncommon for a rookie running back, it's still certainly soemthing the Seahawks would like to see Price sort out sooner rather than later as the season continues and Charbonnet works his way back from the injury.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks did a solid job of weathering the storm without Darnold, with Drew Lock and Jaxon Smith-Njigba connecting for three touchdowns during last week's blowout road win over the Arizona Cardinals, and Darnold now back in action.
In any case, the Seahawks will next hit the field next Sunday for a home game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
