The Seattle Seahawks scored a 13-10 Week 1 win over the New England Patriots that included the debut of former Notre Dame star and rookie Jadarian Price as the team's featured running back. Price finished with an average of over five yards per carry, catching the attention of ex-Seahawks star Shaun Alexander and causing comparisons to departed Super Bowl hero Kenneth Walker III.

Alexander was asked who Price reminds him of by Up & Adams host Kay Adams on Friday and did not hesitate to share his take.

“Yeah, it's the explosion in the hole,” Alexander said. “Jadarian has that, he has that, man, ‘I'm gonna set this thing up,' and then watch them feet, it's ta-da-da, he's in the hole making it happen, it's pretty awesome.”

Alexander also marveled at Price's readiness for the pro game.

“You know, it's too early to give that big of a statement, but he does, he hits the holes and his feet are active, gosh, as soon as he gets into that hole, man it is really beautiful, it is a pro-type running back,” Alexander said. “And sometimes you get those guys who are good in college, but the pro game fits them a little bit better, I feel like I was like that.

“I feel like Jadarian is gonna be one of those kinda guys, you're gonna watch him like, ‘Oh yeah, he was a solid player at Notre Dame and gave him the honor to be a first round pick, but in the pros, he's gonna step it up.”

Price was praised by Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald after the game and is expected to start against the Cardinals on Sunday, September 20. Macdonald acknowledged Price has plenty of little things to work on, but the early returns are looking good as the Seahawks chase a second consecutive Super Bowl title.
