With the Seattle Seahawks coming off a disappointing loss to the Chicago Bears last Monday night, 34-17, the hope is to bounce back this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, but the team will be without starting quarterback Sam Darnold. As Darnold will be without for the Seahawks against the Cardinals, backup quarterback Drew Lock hasn't been healthy as well, as he speaks about the elbow injury he's been dealing with.
Lock has been dealing with an elbow injury for multiple weeks after suffering the issue during a practice in the rain, where he was hurt to the point where he was the third quarterback on the depth chart. With him being in line to start Sunday, Lock says Thursday that his elbow injury is “doing a lot better.”
“It's doing good. I'm excited to be back out there. It felt great to get under center and rip some balls yesterday. So feels good,” Lock said, according to Greg Bell.
“I'm going at it like a normal week. If the training staff want to pull it back a little bit, then let them make that decision. But I'm expecting to go take every rep,” Lock continued.
Drew Lock says his injured elbow feels good, he’s letting it rip in practice this week to start Sunday vs Arizona.

Seahawks' Drew Lock knew Sam Darnold was injured during Bears loss
Lock has filled in before with the Seahawks this season, as early as Week 1 of the regular season in the win over the New England Patriots, where Darnold sustained a glute injury, leading to the backup playing in Week 2.
Funny enough, Lock would start against the Cardinals in Week 2 and threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns, hoping to do the same on Sunday in place of Darnold, who is dealing with a quadriceps injury.
The backup would say that he knew “pretty early” that Darnold was impacted by the injury on Monday, commending him for playing through it. At any rate, it remains to be seen how long Darnold will be without for Seattle, as the hope is that Lock can get healthier ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals and keep the ship afloat.
The Seahawks are 4-4 in the NFC West, putting them at second.
