The Seattle Seahawks will be facing their divisional rival, the San Francisco 49ers, in Week 5, and they know very well the challenges they present on offense. That means the defense has to be ready for anything, and they've already had a meeting about some of their shortcomings early in the season, especially last week against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Though they won the game, the Seahawks' defense was called for six penalties, which resulted in 150 yards in total. Jarran Reed said that he, Ernest Jones, Leonard Williams and Julian Love called a players-only meeting to talk about how they need to clean up those problems.

“We hit it head on, because that was way too many penalties for us as a team, especially the personal [foul] penalties. Some of the stuff was just cost of doing business, but the ones that can be avoided, we need to avoid those penalties,” Reed said via ESPN's Brady Henderson.

It's good that a team can have those types of meetings even after a loss, and the Seahawks are one of the teams that comes as no surprise by doing it. They play with a certain standard in mind, and it's probably one of the biggest reasons they won the Super Bowl last season.

The Seahawks seem to be ready for the 49ers this week, as they're one of the few undefeated teams remaining in the league. These two teams saw each other three times last season, including in the playoffs, and Seattle won two of the matchups.

It'll be interesting to see how this season goes, and the way both of these teams are playing early, it wouldn't be shocking if they saw each other in the playoffs for the second straight year.
