The Milwaukee Brewers have continued to mark the first World Series triumph in team history with a parade that has been celebrated wildly throughout the state of Wisconsin.

The celebration included multiple speeches at a rally at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Hall of Famer Robin Yount was among those who spoke to the thousands of fans that were in attendance.

He spoke of the close relationship the team had with the late Bob Uecker, who had been the beloved announcer for the team for more than 50 years prior to his death in 2025.

Yount was the team's best player on the 1982 Brewers that made it to the 7th game of the World Series before losing the seventh game to the St. Louis Cardinals. Even though that team fell short of winning the title, the '82 Brewers were celebrated with a parade from their adoring fans.

Yount pointed out that he felt Uecker's presence throughout Milwaukee's run to the title. “We didn’t lose Ueck,” Yount said at the rally. “We didn’t lose him. He’s here. I threw out the first pitch. I felt him all around me. Why do you think the pitch went just a bit outside? I didn’t try to do that. He’s here. You can’t get rid of him.”

Yount was making a reference to Uecker's famous line from “Major League” when he played announcer Harry Doyle after a pitch from Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn.

While the World Series title was the first for the Brewers, it was the second for the city of Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Braves won the 1957 World Series title in a seven-game triumph over the New York Yankees. That team left Milwaukee for Atlanta after the 1965 season.
