The Louisville Cardinals are bulking up the trenches as they landed a solid prospect with Kaleb Exume joining their recruiting class of 2027.

Exume announced his decision to join the Cardinals on Friday, per On3 insider Hayes Fawcett. Hailing from Sarasota, Florida, he has his original pledge to Boston College since June.

Exume stands out as a three-star defender with an 85 rating on 247Sports. He ranks 166th among players in the state of Florida and 176th among players at his position. His composite score of 0.8689 puts him at 103rd, 125th and 1064th nationally in those categories.

“Kaleb “Zume” Exume is built to disrupt. At 6’3″, 310 pounds, the junior defensive tackle brings power, precision, and intent to every snap controlling the line of scrimmage with discipline and presence. A record-setting force at Parrish Community and now a cornerstone at Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School, Zume’s impact shows up fast and his value goes beyond stats. He plays with timing, leverage, and an understanding of the game that translates to the next level,” Exume has on his player bio via his website.

“Zume studies the standard set by elite interior defenders like Aaron Donald and Jordan Davis and prepares accordingly. His approach is simple: arrive ready, earn trust, and contribute early. On the field, he’s disruptive and decisive. Off the field, he’s grounded, vocal, and dependable. Coaches trust him. Teammates follow him. Opponents account for him.”
